Mastercard recruits interns across two core tracks. Both provide consulting exposure but differ in primary focus:
1. Strategy & Transformation (S&T)
You’ll guide clients through strategic, operational, and transformational challenges—similar to traditional management consulting roles.
Types of questions you’ll solve:
- How can a global institution enter a highly competitive market?
- How can a business redesign its operating model to meet financial and strategic goals?
2. Marketing
You’ll design and implement marketing strategies backed by behavioral, customer, and transactional data.
Sample questions you’ll address:
- How can a fintech improve acquisition and customer lifetime value?
- How can retailers optimize e-commerce performance and in-store footfall post-COVID?
- How can a financial institution migrate or convert portfolios effectively?
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must have:
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree (graduation date: Dec 2026 – Sep 2027)
- Strong academic record
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English
